How Could the Presidential Election Impact Immigration Law?

Unfortunately, Trump will not leave the White House peacefully or quietly. As Trump and his administration scramble to maintain power, the next few months could be crucial in immigration policy developments. He has already shown his willingness to bypass Congress and use executive orders as a means to exclude the immigrant community.

There is a high likelihood he will use the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to intensify deportations of immigrants. His anti-immigrant agenda has remained destructive since his inauguration in January 2017 and he has limited time left to fulfill his remaining desires to slash potential forms of relief.
